- 500g frozen broccoli florets or 1 whole fresh broccoli
- 300g Hochland Cheddar Jack
- 400g Hochland Gouda & Cheddar
- 1 sprig of fresh basil
- salt and pepper to taste
Recipe step by step
- 1. thaw the broccoli or wash the fresh broccoli and divide it into florets
- 2. prepare a pot with slightly salted boiling water
- 3. blanch the broccoli for 7 minutes in the boiling water
- 4. quench the broccoli in cold water so that it doesn’t lose color, then drain in a colander
- 5. prepare four small baking molds
- 6. put 50g Cheddar Jack shavings into the bottom of the dishes
- 7. arrange a layer of broccoli florets
- 8. sprinkle with cubes of Cheddar & Gouda cheese and the rest of the grated Cheddar Jack
- 9. bake in a preheated oven for 10 minutes
- 10. serve with fresh basil and season with freshly ground pepper
