Cheddar Jack Berliner sandwich
Ingredients:
All ingredients
- 1 mini baguette
- 150g chicken tenderloin
- 20g breadcrumbs
- 20g wheat flour
- 1 egg
- pinch of sweet pepper
- pinch of chili pepper
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp clarified butter
- 1 lettuce leaf
- ½ red pepper
- 100g Hochland Cheddar Jack
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 skewer
Recipe step by step
- 1. wash the lettuce and dry it on a paper towel
- 2. cut the onions into thin rings
- 3. wash the peppers and slice them
- 4. wash the tenderloin, then dry it on a paper towel
- 5. break the egg into a bowl, add the spices, salt and pepper for flavour, whisk the mass until smooth
- 6. Prepare the breadcrumbs in another bowl
- 7. coat the meat first in the flour, then in the egg, finally in breadcrumbs
- 8. heat the clarified butter in the pan
- 9. fry the pieces of tenderloin for 7 minutes turning them over every 2 minutes, until the breadcrumbs are golden and crispy, and the meat inside cooked
- 10. cut the baguette in half, put a thin layer of mayonnaise on each half
- 11. sprinkle the bottom half of the sandwich with the Cheddar Jack shavings, then decorate it with the lettuce, onions and paprika
- 12. place the fried tenderloin on the lettuce
- 13. sprinkle with the grated cheddar
- 14. cover with the top half of the baguette
- 15. put the skewer into the sandwich
- 16. serve the sandwich with spicy gherkins and mustard sauce
