Cheddar Jack Quesadilla

All ingredients
  •  2 rye tortillas
  •  200g Hochland Cheddar & Gouda blocks
  •  500g chicken tenderloin pieces
  •  50g breadcrumbs
  •  50g wheat flour
  •  1 egg
  •  pinch of sweet pepper
  •  pinch of chilli pepper
  •  salt and pepper to taste
  •  1 tbsp of clarified butter

Recipe step by step

  • 1. wash the chicken tenderloin, then dry it on a paper towel
  • 2. break the egg into a bowl, add the spices, salt and pepper to taste, whisk the mass until smooth
  • 3. prepare the breadcrumbs in another bowl
  • 4. first coat the meat in the flour, then in the egg, finally in the breadcrumbs
  • 5. heat the clarified butter in the pan
  • 6. fry the tenderloin for 7 - 12 minutes, turning it every 2 minutes, until the breadcrumbs are golden and crispy, and the meat inside is cooked
  • 7. meanwhile, heat the oven to 200 ° c
  • 8. put the tinfoil on the baking tray, place the tortillas on it, then place the fried chicken tenderloin on one side of each tortilla
  • 9. sprinkle the chicken tenderloin with the Cheddar & Gouda cheese blocks
  • 10. fold the tortillas and pack each one tightly in the tinfoil
  • 11. bake the quesadillas for 4-5 minutes
  • 12. take them out of the oven, take the tinfoil off the tortillas and put them on the plate
  • 13. serve with a mix of various kinds of lettuce and sauces of your choice
